Donsubaek in Hongdae is a great spot for a hearty, comforting Korean meal, especially on cold days. I had the pig stomach soup with rice, which was warm, satisfying, and clean-tasting, with tender tripe and a well-balanced broth — perfect for chilly weather. They also serve pork soup (dwaeji-gukbap) and boiled pork slices (bossam), both popular with locals and great for sharing. The restaurant has a casual, lively atmosphere with plenty of seating across two floors, and despite the crowds, service is efficient and fast. If you’re in Hongdae and looking for simple, honest Korean comfort food that locals love, Donsubaek is worth checking out. Meal type: Dinner Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
