Late posting for last week lunch at Great Nanyang Heritage Cafe in 111 Somerset. Another recommended resto for those who are looking for an authentic Malay peranakan cuisine in Singapore. Surely it is not only about nasi lemak, char kuetiauw, but there are still plenty delicious dishes worthy to explore. We tried the special beverage from them which is coconut coffee. It is something unique when we blend coconut and coffee together to form great beverage. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SGD 10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian options: Yes, available. Dietary restrictions: Not sure.

Had the rendang mutton nasi lemak, which was very nicely presented and plated. The mutton was good and did not have any unpleasant odour. The kaya toast was nice too. Service was extremely fast, as the food came within 3 minutes after ordering. Pricing for these two items was still reasonable, totalling about $16 after GST and service charge. However, their chicken cutlet rice feels expensive. It is originally $15, but after GST and service charge, it comes up to about $19 for one dish, so I decided to go for the nasi lemak instead. Here for the first time since my other half had an appointment in one of the beauty related establishment in this building. It was late and decided to try this since the menu having food we like. Ordered the chicken berempah and claypot cauliflower. It was alright and can eat again when feel like it. Okay, that’s all for now. Thank you Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
