However, the physical menu is outdated—quite a few listed items aren’t actually available. To avoid disappointment, refer to the online menu before ordering and double-check with staff. Overall, a decent casual spot, but the menu mismatch hurts the experience. Still worth a visit though. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30

Disappointing chendol. The ice was packed so densely that it was impossible to mix properly, and it felt more like a frozen block taken from a freezer than freshly shaved ice. There was very little coconut milk and gula melaka flavor, I could only taste ice. When I mentioned this to the cashier, I was told that the person who made the chendol was new. However, the issue isn’t whether the staff member is new, the problem is that the ice was not prepared like proper freshly shaved ice. At $3.50 per bowl, I expected much better. I ordered two bowls but couldn’t even finish one because it was mostly hard, tasteless ice. The toppings were decent, but the dessert lacked the rich, creamy, and fragrant flavors that a good chendol should have. What was disappointing was that the response was simply an apology, no compensation was offered, and I was not informed that any feedback would be passed on to management. It was also especially disappointing as this was advertised as a “best seller” item. Overall, very disappointing for the price paid. We had a delicious set lunch meal of their signature nasi lemak with a free chendol and the Penang Char Kueh Teow with a free lime juice at Nan Yang Dao West Mall Bukit Batok. The portion was generous, the taste authentic and the service was excellent. A special shout out to the wonderful service staff, Felicia who went the extra mile to make our visit special. Will definitely visit again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
