My wife and I went in last night and had the best time! Originally, we planned on grabbing a quick bite and going about our day, but we ended up cancelling our plans for the rest of the night so we could stay at Bal Mil longer. It was largely because the owner who was also our bartender was so incredibly friendly, welcoming, hilarious and made fantastic mixed drinks! We had never had Japanese/Mexican fusion before and this was the PERFECT introduction into Japanese/Mexican fusion food. Delicious tacos, fantastic pollo fries, great mixed drinks and an even better bartender and chef duo! (Best bartender and chef in Japan!) The first thing we plan on telling everyone about when we get back home to the U.S is about Bal Mil and the awesome time we had here! Thank you again - and if we come back to Japan, we’re definitely coming back here! P.S thank you for taking a picture with us! Found this place purely by chance, walking around the streets of Kyoto, wanting to try something “a bit different” for dinner. We couldn’t have found a more unique option in Japanese tacos. The business owner was extremely welcoming and helpful. He was also very funny and went out of his way to joke around with every customer sitting at the small bar. The food was simple yet incredible and was truly unique in flavor. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Price per person: ¥7,000–8,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
