Stepping into 108 Matcha Saro feels like entering a sanctuary for matcha lovers—bright but cozy, with the green tea aroma and soft murmurs of satisfied customers immediately setting the mood. The brand, which originates in Hokkaido and uses Uji-kyoto matcha imported from Japan, takes clear care in quality: the tea’s bitterness is balanced, not overwhelming, with good depth.  Their Obanyaki (stuffed pancakes) are a highlight. The matcha dough with red bean paste filling has a pleasant earthiness, though the custard version can lean sweet—perfect for those craving soft richness.  Meanwhile, the warabimochi is softly gelatinous, dusted in matcha or kinako; the texture is melt-in-mouth rather than chewy, which works nicely.  The soft-serve ice creams and parfaits are visually appealing, full of layering (jellies, beans, mochi), and the matcha flavour is clean, with just enough bitterness to feel authentic.  On the downside, price is noticeable—items can cost more than average dessert shops. Portions are decent but for some fillings (e.g. Obanyaki) expectations may outpace reality. Service is friendly, though during peak times wait and crowding are an issue.  ⸻ Verdict: If you’re someone who really enjoys real matcha flavour and doesn’t mind paying a little extra for authenticity, 108 Matcha Saro delivers.
