Feedback on $7 Lunch Buffet at 131 Paya Lebar I have been patronising this buffet since Feb 2026 and initially found the food to be good, with fresh fish, prawns, and a variety of fruits (papaya, watermelon, honeydew, oranges). I have recommended this place to friends, colleagues, and even my boss. Recent Concerns: Food quality has dropped noticeably. Prawns were not fresh (mushy, many heads detached, very oily). Fish and fried eggs were overly salty. High salt content may pose health risks, especially for elderly customers. Menu & Variety Issues: Fruits have been reduced to only watermelon (previously included papaya, honeydew, and oranges). Vegetable options are limited to one type only, often oily dishes (e.g., eggplant with long beans, cabbage, cauliflower). Lack of healthier green vegetable options. Suggestion: Improve food quality and freshness. Reduce oil and salt levels for healthier meals. Provide more variety in fruits and vegetables, including healthier options. What an incredible deal for $7 at this buffet! It's a treasure in today's market! I seized this opportunity with my colleagues to experience it firsthand! The food was remarkably similar to the delightful Cai fan (Economy Rice) with an assortment of fruits, cakes, and sharkfin soup. They also served an excellent mee Siam. Well, for $7, this buffet lunch is considered good. Taste wise is not outstanding but enough selection for the price. I guess they do change the dishes because we went there to try their laksa but turned out they didn't have laksa that day. Instead they had mee siam. Do go early cos the place does get crowded and they don't have lots of tables. Good news is fruits are included, so we took watermelon to supplement as our "juice". Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–10 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
