I read a lot of reviews before I came to this place... and I must say, there's a lot of haters out there who has nothing better to do but to write false reviews. 1771 Studio is probably one of the better cafes I've been to in north Taiwan. Food and Drinks are excellent (and definitely not from Costco). The staff is friendly, and no, we weren't asked to put away our own dishes. It's not a gallery, but it has vibe. I highly recommend.
