Had prawn noodles soup for lunch at a HDB coffee shop today. At S$6 a bowl, I was expecting at least a decent portion or some depth in the broth, but it was honestly disappointing. The soup was rather bland, and the prawns were so tiny they felt like an afterthought. Edible, yes, but not satisfying. What made it worse was the service. The staff didn’t seem local, and while that’s not an issue in itself, their attitude was indifferent at best. No greeting, no smile, just a half-hearted toss of the bowl onto the counter. For that price, I’d expect either better food or better service, perhaps ideally both. Wouldn’t go out of my way for this again.
