Ok. This review will appear to be a little oxymoron in nature. My wife and I were planning to dine at Kinari when we walked past this place. We took a quick look at the menu outside, and a nice young lady quickly ran out to greet us. Well. I wouldn't call it an extensive menu, but it did look interesting, and it happened to be Happy Hour. We walked into a large and rather empty place (I actually like the ambience of an empty place), took a seat, and prepared for dinner. Ok. Lemme start by saying had it not been for that really nice young lady from Penang who served us (sorry, forgot to ask her the name), our dinner experience here would have been a very sad and sordid affair. I asked for a Wagyu steak at a little before 7pm. My wife wanted their truffle and Wagyu pepper fried rice. It wasn't until some 35mins passed when her rice arrived. That's when the nice lady told me the chef wasn't able to prepare my steak to medium with the burnt ends I requested. 2 failed rounds and she suggested I go with the Kurobuta grilled pork instead. It was to be close to 8pm when my meal arrived at the table, and by then, I was so famished, o contemplated walking next door to do a Sando takeaway for dinner. Ok. Truffle fries and beer on the house, for all that waiting, and lots of apologies from all 3 staff as they walked by our empty table waiting to be filled with dinner. Was it good? Well...I think the food is rather good, but each time an item was being prepared, the nice lady had to hop into the kitchen and check on the chef's culinary outcome. To me, that's not good! You should not put someone in the kitchen to handle the cooking alone unless he or she has reached a certain competence level at what they do, or perhaps just leave the food items at the door and concentrate on your drinks. Was it a bad experience? Not totally! Was it pleasant? Not exactly. I'd call it meh and square it off to the really nice staff in waiting, and refrain from any further remarks:) Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had an enjoyable experience at 5th avenue.if you are looking for good a place to chill with friends for drinks and food do give this place a try. The beef cubes were succelent and tender and a must try. We also tried the carbonara and the sauce had a nice velvety texture. Do give this place a try Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
