I’m sorry I really cannot give any more better rating than this. The food is really not good. I waited for 25 minutes for the food but then again it was during peak hour. The spring chicken was really dry, some parts of the chicken was not edible because it was too dry. It really does feel like the chicken was fried before. The fries was just simply soggy. The bun was double fried for sure because it was hardened. The fish and chip was still alright. But the review here was really overhyped and the food is really not good. I would only go there if I don’t have a choice but given so many food options and so many other western food that is probably better, it worth a miss. To me, the refried harden bun and the harden chicken is a very bad decision for the store operator. I’m not expecting quality like Arnold’s fried chicken, but definitely not like that. Fortunately service was not bad. Meal type: Dinner Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

My colleagues were craving Western food so they brought me here! At first glance, the coffee shop looks different from the rest in its area, it’s not newly renovated and gives off a very JB Restoran vibes, or our old coffeeshop feels. The stall itself gives off vintage classic look straight away with their outdated signboard and faded colours. I later noticed the bun in its signboard and knew this was the old-school Hainanese western stall. The canned baked beans and fried bun gives off nostalgia. The chicken cutlet was served. To be honest, the coleslaw was obviously pressed and spreaded to make it seem a lot, but in fact the volume didn’t impress me. My fried bun wasn’t juicy with oil or crispy anymore, mine was rather hard and tough to chomp down. The main cutlet was however, very impressive. The meat was tenderised to achieve that soft touch on the inside and crispy on the outside. Batter matches the flavour. Despite the serving and disappointment in the sides, I may still return to try their chicken chop and fish&chips just to make sure their average isn’t lowered by a day of blunder.
