Not as great as before after reopening after such a long closure. Will go back to their competitor 922 during my next visit. 928 the gravy has become to watery and run down probably due to cost cutting. Pricing however is more value then the competitor 922 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SGD 10–20 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

First time visiting 928 Ngee Fou Ampang Yong Tau Foo on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch with my mum and helper, after seeing many positive reviews online. We ordered the standard set, which was convenient as there was no need to spend time choosing individual items. In total, we paid $22.40 for a 3-pax set with two bowls of rice, which i felt quite pricey. Average 1 person costs abt $7 plus. The set came with kang kong, which was fresh and nicely done. However, the yong tau foo itself was quite disappointing. Most items were on the salty side and had very little fish paste. 2 pieces of fishballs were so tiny, same size as the 2 pieces of quail eggs. The three “pork” dumplings were especially underwhelming — we couldn’t find any pork filling inside. The bitter gourd pieces also seemed quite old and were tough to chew. Overall, the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations, and unfortunately, we don’t think we’ll be returning. Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

One of my favorite restaurants in Singapore! Dropped by 928 Ngee Fou (Hakka) Ampang Yong Tou Fou for lunch on a Sunday with a good friend (a proud Hakka!) to enjoy some authentic Yong Tou Fu. We ordered the signature Yong Tou Fu set and the special dumpling soup. Everything was freshly prepared, and I especially loved the combination of kangkong and tofu. The real hero? The rich, flavorful gravy – it ties everything together perfectly, soaking into the veggies and tofu to create a truly satisfying bite. Atmosphere:. The restaurant gets hot and lively during lunch hours, packed with customers — a true sign of how popular and delicious the food is! ️ Parking:. Roadside (paid) parking available nearby. It can get busy during peak times, so do plan ahead if you’re coming during lunch. Overall:. Still one of my go-to places whenever I crave good, authentic Hakka Yong Tou Fu. Definitely staying on my must-visit list whenever I'm back!
