Finding a genuinely good omakase in Singapore without paying outrageous Michelin-level prices is not easy anymore, which is why my experience at AN Omakase stood out so much. The quality of the food, the attention to detail and the overall dining experience honestly felt comparable to many Michelin-starred sushi counters in Singapore, just at a far more approachable price point. The restaurant itself has an intimate and elegant atmosphere without trying too hard to feel luxurious. The counter seating creates a personal experience, and the chefs interact naturally with guests, making the dinner feel warm and comfortable instead of overly formal. Service throughout the evening was attentive, smooth and professional. What impressed me most was the consistency of the meal. Every course felt carefully thought out, from the appetizers to the sushi sequence. The ingredients were exceptionally fresh, and you could immediately tell the kitchen respects the quality of the seafood. The sushi rice was well balanced, properly seasoned and served at the right temperature, which made every piece feel complete. Some highlights for me were the otoro, uni and several beautifully prepared seasonal fish that simply melted in the mouth. Even the cooked dishes were memorable instead of feeling like filler courses. The chawanmushi was delicate and comforting, while the grilled items added a nice contrast to the colder courses. Another thing I appreciated was the pacing. The meal flowed naturally without long waiting times or feeling rushed. Each course arrived at the right moment, allowing you to properly enjoy the progression of flavours throughout the dinner. Compared to many high-end omakase restaurants in Singapore that easily cost several hundred dollars per person, AN Omakase delivers remarkable value while still maintaining a refined and premium experience. It genuinely feels like Michelin-star quality omakase without the intimidating Michelin-star bill, and it is definitely a place worth returning to. Wonderful omakase dinner with my loved one 218 per pax and definitely worth the experience. Fresh ingredients, beautifully presented dishes, and great service throughout the night. I was really impressed with both the quality and quantity of the food. Every dish was well-prepared and full of flavor and the portions were more than satisfying. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the exceptional service friendly, attentive, and professional throughout. I left feeling very happy and will definitely be back.
