Both Hopewell Centre and Akita Cafe are recommended for visiting. Make a change from your habitual meal and order perfectly cooked seafood at Akita Cafe. Come here for tasty pineapple buns if you are hungry. This place has good tea among its drinks.
Many guests consider the staff well-trained. If you want to enjoy professional service, you should go to this spot. It's a nice place with the pretty atmosphere. But Akita Cafe is not highly appreciated by Google users who assigned it a below average rating.

Went here to dinner looking for a nice local Cantonese meal! The place is located conveniently in Wanchai next to the tram and Southern Playgrounds so extremely easy to get to. It’s in a corner and lights up beautifully at night and have 2 levels so plenty of seats. I ordered the popular baked porch chop rice and there did that beautifully with plenty cuts of pork chop, smothered with a orange / tomato savory sauce with onions, pineapple and tomatoes all on top of a bed of fried rice and baked with a bit of cheese!!! It was delicious and hot!! I also ordered a dish of Singapore fried rice noodle and tasted great with plenty of shrimp, ham & BBQ pork slices and onions and green onions. Very local and very on point!! I also got a large glass of lemon ice tea to wash everything down!!! The restaurant sits comfortably with plenty of booth seating and best if you can sit on the second floor with window seats looking back down on busy Wanchai, get a very local vibe!! Overall, a great place to get a great local meal and Avery about $70-$80 a person, which is not too bad!! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: HK$50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

A busy cafe at Johnston Road of Wanchai since late 2025/early 2026. A lot of food choices from breakfast time to evening included roasted barbecue pork, chicken and goose etc and other baked or steamed or stir-fried dishes. Service was mediocre since staff were mostly not that attentive. The seating or interior was alright. It’s been decorated with modern elements and bright lightings. Price per person: HK$50–100 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
