Butter chicken tasted not fresh. Heavy frozen flavour , though the gravy was moderate and too sweet. Garlic Nan was well grilled and tasted just right. Overall lacking food quality. For 2 nans, butter chicken and one tea $15.30. not worth. 10.06.26 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SGD 10–20

Order earlier 10mins ago while typing this. Order two drinks, (teh tarik ice and teh o ice). When order arrived, NO drinks on site!! Try calling mubin hotline but OFF. Rider not in plain sight by the time i realise. Really spoilt the mood! Please check all orders before sent out next time!! P/s: dont know who's fault. The mutton briyani at Al Mubin Restaurant is easily one of the best things I’ve had there. The rice is super fragrant and not too oily, and the spices are just nice—not too strong but still very shiok. The mutton itself is really tender and soft, not tough at all, and it goes so well with the rice. The portion is also quite big, so it’s very worth it. Another dish I keep going back for is the butter chicken with garlic naan. The butter chicken gravy is thick and creamy, slightly sweet, and very easy to eat—even if you’re not someone who likes strong spices. The chicken pieces are soft and nicely coated in the sauce. The garlic naan is also very good—warm, fluffy, and got that nice garlic smell. Perfect for dipping into the gravy. But honestly, the most memorable moment for me at Al Mubin has to be how I discovered their roti banjir. I was just there enjoying my mutton briyani when I noticed a fellow mamak customer at the next table. He ordered something that looked super rich—roti completely drenched in curry, with gravy overflowing the plate. I couldn’t help myself and just exclaimed, “WOW! looks so yummy!” He heard me and casually replied, “That’s roti banjir.” From that moment on, I was sold. When I finally tried it, I understood the hype. The roti is soaked in curry until it’s fully infused with flavour—soft, slightly chewy, and dripping with rich, spicy gravy. Every bite is packed with taste, and it’s the kind of dish that feels messy but in the best way possible. The curry seeps into every layer of the roti, making it super satisfying, especially if you love strong, comforting flavours. It’s also quite filling, so come hungry. Now, every time I visit, roti banjir is always on my to-order list. It’s one of those dishes that once you try, you won’t forget. Overall, Al Mubin is the kind of place you go when you just want good, hearty food without caring too much about the setting. Affordable, filling, and consistently tasty—definitely a go-to spot.
