【偶然の発見、アメリカン・ダイナーのご褒美】 Wandering the neighborhood, stomach growling and signs reading “fully reserved” at every turn, I was ready to give up—until I found American Diner Funny’s. A lucky accident, not even showing up on my filtered Google Maps search, and yet exactly what I needed. Despite the full house, I managed to snag the last counter seat and ordered an avocado burger with ginger ale. The drink came promptly, icy cold and fizzy, while the burger took a patient 30 minutes to arrive. I almost thought my order had vanished—but when the plate landed in front of me, any doubt melted away. The burger was solid: juicy, satisfying, with creamy avocado balancing the richness. The fries, though generous in portion, leaned too heavily on the salt for my taste. Still, the energy of the place—buzzing with conversation, the sizzle from the open kitchen, and an eager, well-meaning owner who insisted on English despite my Japanese—made for a memorable meal.
