店舗は半地下だけど、カフェのようなインテリアで、若い男女の客の声が飛び交うので、雰囲気が明るい。コの字のカウンターのみの12席。お兄さん１人で切り盛りしている。 キャッチテーブルは使われていないので、特ロースカツ定食(₩15,000)を口頭で注文。普通のロース定食は₩13,000。 かなり長い時間カツを揚げている。低温で揚げているのだろう。注文後20分以上経ったところで運ばれて来た。 揚げ立てで運ばれてきたので、まだカツが熱い。 美味い！肉らしい味がする。柔らかいし、肉汁溢れる！ やっぱり、長い時間肉を休ませると、ヒレは良いのかもしれないけど、ロースは肉の風味が落ちると思う。 平皿の岩塩とワサビを付けて食べると、あっさりしていて、肉の味が分かりやすい。 ソースもトマトのような風味があるけど、カツの肉汁と出会うと、美しいハーモニーを奏でる。 一方、店員さんが注意してくれたけど、味噌汁は辛過ぎ。 日本だったら5個を付けたかもしれないけど、この周辺は満点の店が多いので ＋。ご飯と味噌汁のデキが減点理由。 ヒレも今度試してみたい。. My wife and I finally returned to Katsuyo after three years, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. This little gem has managed to maintain the high quality and cozy ambiance that made us fall in love with it during our first visit. The tonkatsu is exceptional—perfectly crispy on the outside, while the meat remains incredibly tender and juicy with that signature pink center. We really enjoy the presentation, especially the salt and wasabi served on the slate, which lets the flavor of the pork shine. The atmosphere is quiet and welcoming (and that iconic red door is still a great touch). It’s the perfect spot for a high-quality, authentic meal.
