An absolute gem on the beach. Not a polished resort, but a real beach bar with soul — bamboo structures, shells and beads swaying in the breeze, palm shade, and a table right by the water where you can watch the fishing boats on the horizon. The food was excellent. Honest Thai cooking, fresh, beautifully seasoned, and at a great price. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: ฿200–400

After a month on the more austere Hua Hin beach, it was a refreshing change to drop into very Wabisabi AnKe Beach Bar and enjoy it's cool, ocean breeze kiss. Wabisabi is a Japanese concept that you recognize when you see it. Characteristics of wabi-sabi include asymmetry, roughness, simplicity, modesty and the appreciation of both natural objects and the forces of nature. Enjoy. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
