I visited Aroi Restaurant at Phuket International Airport on 17 June 2026 at around 12:20 PM. I requested one of the sofa seats by the window, but a staff member told me that those seats were not available for solo diners. However, I could see what appeared to be another solo customer already seated in the same sofa area, and there were also vacant sofa seats available. When I politely asked for an explanation, the staff member refused to clarify and repeatedly dismissed my question. The conversation eventually ended with the staff member saying “Bye bye” and walking away. I understand that restaurants may have their own seating policies. My concern is not the seat itself, but the inconsistent explanation and the unprofessional way the situation was handled. This experience left me feeling unwelcome and unfairly treated as a customer. quite rude They seated me at a four-person table, then handed me the bill the moment my order was ready and asked me to start drinking right away. Meanwhile, an Indian family kept staring at me because I was the only person occupying a four-seater, and the elderly lady running the shop seemed to be watching me, waiting for me to leave. If they were so concerned about the table, why seat me there in the first place? The whole experience felt unnecessarily uncomfortable and quite rude. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
