北海道牛乳炒蛋火腿三文治($16) 部分東海堂分店早餐時段有賣北海道牛乳炒蛋三文治，有三個topping可以揀，有火腿、餐肉或者芝士。小編作為一個腿蛋治同芝腿治既愛好者，一定係揀火腿as a first try 。暖笠笠、唔洗等、16蚊、又就腳，本身已經無投訴，但佢蛋味好濃，呢點有啲出乎意料，呢份三文治應該會成為我早餐精選 Ham and Egg Sandwich ($16) Some of the Arome Bakery stores provide egg sandwiches for breakfast. You can choose 1 of the 3 toppings from ham, spam and cheese to be served with the egg sandwich. As a ham and egg / cheese sandwich lover, ham is my go-to topping. It was served warm, plus I didn’t need to queue and wait, plus it costs only $16 which is affordable, plus its location is very convenient. What’s more I can ask for? Oh well, the egg was so creamy and rich. It really surprised me! This sandwich is going to be my breakfast on workdays.

I had some time to kill before a tasting so got the Okinawa purple potato tart. Okinawa purple potato tart: The tart costs $20 which is $4 more than the roll. It is held in a paper tray which is convenient and luckily ABR can provide you with plastic forks if you want to eat it right away. Inside the tart, there was chocolate cake and cream just like the roll. Again, it was delicious and there was more sweet potato puree compared to the roll so if you like the sweet potato this would be a better choice but if you don't like the tart base then you should get the roll and its cheaper. The chocolate cake and sweet potato tasted really good together because it was not too sweet and the sweet potato was velvety and had a natrual taste. The tart base is basically their usual tart base that they use for tarts which was buttery just like shortbread. In conclusion, I prefer the roll because I don't like the tart base and it has a better ratio of chocolate roll and sweet potato.

This is a chain cake shop so it seems odd to review. That said it was my local for the 2 weeks I spent in HK and I sampled a variety of the cakes on offer. Truth be told that I found them lacking in sweetness. Light and airy like a good cake should be but lacking the richness of a naughty dessert. There are other bakeries at other stations that suited my taste more.
