I came with my family to celebrate my son's birthday. We brought our own cake and asked the staff to bring it out at the end as dessert. Before it was our turn, a table next to us was also celebrating a birthday. The waiter brought out their cake, turned on the Happy Birthday music, and sang for them—even mentioning the guest's name during the song. When we finished our main course, I told the waiter it was OK to bring out the cake for our son. I even typed my son's name, so he could read it, hoping they would do the same for us. Well, he brought the cake out, turned on the Happy Birthday music, and just set it in front of him with a sad face—no smile, no mention of his name, and he didn't even sing at all, relying entirely on the music. The music wasn't even working properly and stopped for a while in the middle, then they played it again after my son blew out the candle. They didn't even seem to care. What bad service.
