We stopped here after getting off the Ferry at Donsak as we were trying to get a taxi to Surat Thani. We were a family with two young children. They said they might help us but we were there for two hours and every tax driver who came to pick us up tried to extort double the amount of money from us. There were taxi drivers there eating a meal - a female, who cancelled our taxi with her and said her 'brother' could take us. But then he couldn't and she didn't offer. She was with an older man who, when a taxi driver did appear who could take us, this older man told the taxi driver to go away and not to take us - we do not know why. At this point my wife felt intimidated that we left. I would not trust anyone in Donsak, not the taxi drivers or anyone who deals with them - the whole place feels like a mafia operation. If you search it up, the Thai Police have already been investigating this kind of behaviour around Donsak - we will be reporting it to them too. Stay clear and report anything suspicious to the Police. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
