Wonderful spot for anyone looking for vegan food in the area the whole menu is friendly. They now offer a chicken option. The owner is incredibly kind, welcoming, and speaks fluent English, which makes the experience comfortable. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into the food from Sarah A unique highlight is their mushroom tea selection, which is excellent and not something you find at many restaurants. If you’re interested in mushrooms, wellness drinks, or simply enjoying a great meal in a friendly environment, Aurora Thai Restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: ฿1–200 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Everything on the menu becides adding Chicken option to the food for those who wish. Small cozy restaurant just a couple blocks off the walking street. They used to be fully vegan, now unfortunately offering chicken and eggs on the menu The food is tasty, but far from authentic Thai. Feels very much like recipes were adjusted to meet the western tourist palate. I had Khao soi that came with a bunch of veggies in it like broccoli, cauliflower, and pumpkin - you’ll never see that at a place serving the Thai population. I understand making changes to survive in this challenging economy, I’m not criticizing, just describing it as it is. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ฿1–200 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Thank you so much for visiting us. Yes we were a fully vegan restaurant but as the concept doesn't pay rent and staff. I add chicken in my menu. Still I remain using only vegan ingredients, spices and sauce. Also we sperate kitchen wear when cooking. About my Khao Soy. I've been doing my vegan Khao soy with vegetables as if you order vegan... What else u can do beside tofu. It's added variety of option instead of authentic which is just meat... No veggies. I apologize for confused your normal vegan standard but I rather not sell just tofu and nothing else to make people get less protein or fiber but only tofu and fat from coconut milk. Also to your understanding. We never use broccoli in my restaurant. Thank you so much for your review and support in such a low season time. Have a good day

I’ve eaten a lot of Thai food in a lot of places, and Aurora honestly sits at the top of the list. This is one of those rare restaurants where every single dish feels made with actual love and obsession over flavor. The Pad Thai is unreal — perfectly balanced, rich, fresh, and somehow comforting and exciting at the same time. The Khao Soi? Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Deep, creamy, spicy, layered with flavor, and impossible to stop eating. And the mango sticky rice deserves its own award. Absolute perfection. What makes this place even more special is Sarah and the atmosphere she’s created. You can feel the care in everything — the food, the vibe, the service, all of it. It’s the kind of restaurant you visit once and then immediately start planning your next meal there before you’ve even left. Honestly, if you’re in Pai and you miss Aurora, you’re doing Pai wrong.
