A Wonderful Surprise at Austria Bar in Khanom After arriving in Khanom, we set out to find a place for a quick bite. We wandered around and, quite by chance, stepped into the Austria Bar. It felt less like entering a business and more like stumbling into a cozy gathering at a friend's home. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts, Da and Gerhard, whose attentive and genuinely kind nature made us feel right at home. The food was solid and satisfying, perfectly fitting the mood. The atmosphere of the place is its true magic. It's the kind of spot where you can easily settle into deep conversation while watching visitors play a game of pool in the center of the hall. The whole vibe was so relaxing and engaging that we found ourselves completely immersed in the moment. We ended up staying until the early hours of the morning! It was a spontaneous and perfect evening that captured the easy-going and authentic spirit we've found here in Khanom, a wonderfully unspoiled part of Thailand . What a place! Really cozy bar with a pool table and cheap beer. The couple who runs the place are just lovely and so hospitable. And thanks for looking after the bag I forgot!
