Awfully Chocolate Bakery & Cafe — Weekend Brunch Buffet Awfully Chocolate is a name that’s been around Singapore for a while, but I’d never pegged it as a brunch spot. Tucked into what is genuinely a very small shopfront, the weekend brunch buffet at $38++/pax is an interesting proposition — if you can get past the slightly cramped setting. The brunch spread comes with a pick of mains — we tried the Pulled Beef Pita, Braised Beef Pie, and Crispy Fish & Chips. All decent, nothing that knocked my socks off, but solid enough for the price. The pita had good flavour, the beef pie was hearty, and the fish and chips did its job. Where it gets more interesting is the savoury section — Spanish omelette, savoury tarts, doughnuts — all very exquisite-looking and clearly put together with some care. The catch? The selection is limited. You’ll appreciate the effort, but don’t expect a sprawling spread. And then of course, being Awfully Chocolate, the chocolate corner is where things lean into their identity — brownies, fruit chocolate fondue, the works. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, this is your corner. Honestly though, the space is tiny and the vibe feels more cafe than brunch destination. Worth a visit if you’re in the area and curious, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $50–60 Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
