I spent a year studying at the nearby Kansai Gaidai University, and I will say that some of my best memories in Japan were made within the walls of Bar 中毒 (Chuudoku). The bar is sex-themed, but even if you're a bit of a prude, its lively atmosphere and strong/affordable drinks will make it worth a visit. I made so many friends going to this bar, and it's chock-full of different games and events that will complement your drinking session well. Perhaps the best part of this bar, though, is its bartender じゃらね/Danger-san. She is an incredibly fun, sweet, and lovely woman, and she functioned almost as a second mother to me over my year in Japan. She makes a very strong effort to get to know all of her patrons, and is able to establish strong connections and friendships with her customers, be they Japanese or foreigners alike. I highly recommend this bar for anybody looking for a good time drinking in Osaka, be they exchange students, expats, or Japanese. Going here will lead to an experience you will never forget.
