餡料真的可以再多擠一點啦。我從十幾年前他們剛進駐台灣的時候就開始吃了，第一次應該是在天母SOGO。老實說，這麼多年下來，他們的品質其實維持得還不錯。但現在的服務就滿明顯感覺得出來，很多年輕員工不是很想做，就是那種「不做也不行，只好做」的感覺。我自己最喜歡法式甜甜圈，菠蘿皮的也不錯，味道是OK的。但一顆接近 $100，又是限量、常常買不到就算了，重點是餡料還偏少，吃起來真的會有點不爽。覺得不錯吃，但因為店員不情願的應對進退，所以少兩顆心啦。 Honestly, they should be more generous with the filling. I’ve been eating this place since they first came to Taiwan over a decade ago — I think my first time was at SOGO Tianmu Store. To be fair, their quality has stayed pretty consistent over the years. But service these days? You can tell the younger staff aren’t exactly into it — more like they’re just doing it because they have to. My favorites are the French-style donuts and the pineapple crust ones. They’re good, no doubt. But at nearly $100 each, and with limited batches, it’s honestly a bit disappointing when you don’t get much filling.

I’m not really a cream puff person. I’ve tried Beard Papa in several countries — always high quality and sweet as expected, but I never liked them. Then a friend told me to try the one with the cracked cookie-like top (I think it’s called cookie choux?) and I gave it another shot. I tried two flavors: pudding and lemon. The pudding one was too sweet for me, but the lemon was a surprise hit — light, slightly tart, super refreshing, and the crispy top made it even better. I especially love that they come out with new seasonal flavors so often. Even though I’m not a fan, I still find myself tempted to stop by whenever I walk past. I once tried the mini ones and didn’t enjoy them as much. For me, only the cracked-top version hits the spot. That lemon one really changed my mind.
