Blue Cat is the kind of bar that immediately earns its reputation. The jazz soundtrack and intimate vibe set the tone perfectly and the service was attentive. But the cocktails are the real story. As someone who drinks their fair share in NYC, these rank among the best I’ve had anywhere. I had the “Chocolate” — a smoky, theatrical riff on an old fashioned with deep chocolate and coffee notes, presented under a cloud of smoke. My wife had the “Tomato,” a stunning gin cocktail with subtle tomato flavor, finished with fresh mozzarella and tomatoes on top. It sounds wild, it works completely. If you’re visiting and only have time for one bar, make it this one. Price per person: ₩40,000–50,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
