Frozen pizza, very average French Onion soup and a flavorless pad Thai - this restaurant should best be skipped. We paid 40$! Clean environment although very empty, no other guests. This place needs to step up its quality! We left disappointed. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ฿1,200–1,400 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

We had high hopes for Baba Beach Bar & Restaurant, Hua Hin — on paper it promises exactly the sort of stylish beachfront dining we enjoy. The welcome was warm and professional, which set a positive tone. We chose to dine outside, however the particular area we were seated in felt disappointingly cluttered and very brightly lit. It lacked the relaxed, atmospheric ambience you’d expect in a setting like this. By contrast, the main restaurant interior is beautifully designed — elegant and polished — though the air conditioning was uncomfortably cold, making it difficult to settle inside either. The menu is extensive and clearly curated, albeit firmly at the higher end price-wise. Unfortunately, after ordering, we experienced a wait of one hour and ten minutes for our food. While the dishes were flavourful and well-presented when they finally arrived, the delay felt excessive and significantly impacted the overall experience. This is a stylish property with clear potential, and much of the foundation is there. However, given the pricing, the service timing and atmosphere need to align more closely with expectations. A lovely concept — just not quite delivered on this occasion. What a pity Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ฿1,400–1,600 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
