Paradise is not a word often associated with a hotel; but Bacchus 304 gives one that feeling. Having stayed at three of the hotels up the road, Bacchus deserves a five-star rating. Everything is well done: hard wood floor, wicker basket swing chair on the balcony, feminine decorative touches throughout, as well as a very considerate soft-padded non-slip mat covering the entire shower floor. Theses show that the owner is really proud of her taking good care of her tenants. That which is more surprising is the eatery on the first floor. One would expect “resort prices”; right? Boy, was I wrong. Bucket of ice — no charge; 15 baht for a bottle of Coke is unheard of in a restaurant. Yet, the best part is waiting to show off in the kitchen. The owner’s cooking skills is worthy of half a Michelin Star. Bacchus 304 really feels like a place in heaven. I don’t want to leave.
