Small cozy bar, but unfortunately the day I was there I didn't enjoy the beers they had on tap. In our group we tried 4-5 different beers and they were all very sour and just not enjoyable for our taste. We asked the friendly staff (owner maybe) if he had any beers that are not sour, but he told us that on that day all the beers he had on tap were sour and they didn't have any beers on bottle/can. We were planning to stay for a while, but after trying the beer we ended up leaving pretty quickly. I guess some people might enjoy sour beer, but personally I really don't like sour beer, so it wasn't a very good experience. I think they change their beers regularly, so maybe another time the beer would be better. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

It's all started when we, a family of stout-lovers, decided to find the place with a good variety of stout beer and special vibe in Chiang Mai. We didn't want to go to regular bar (even if there is a good choice of stout). So, I was specifically looking for us something special, and…I have found “Backin”! You can’t imagine that childlike feeling of delight when I came across this place among many very much alike bars in Chiang Mai. It was, literally, a wow-feeling! Well, I must say, “Backin” didn’t let us down! The range of beer (tap and bottled) is huge! The stout beer we ordered was delicious! The vibe is mind-boggling: we got a chance to try elven ears on and wield a real Narsil sword! Yep, there is no food-menu, but we ordered tasty burgers via grab, so it wasn’t a problem at all. To cut a long story short, “Backin” is a real hidden gem of Chiang Mai, and beer-lovers, sure enough, must check this place out! As for us, we’re already longing for coming back!
