I went today, so here's a Montrealer opinion. I ordered a sandwich with tomato, avocado and basil, and a sesame seed bagel fresh from the oven on the side so I could compare it properly (I like to eat just the bagel whole, fresh from the oven in Montreal, so it's the best way to compare). The sandwich was good, though their default bagel is plain, but in Montreal the default is sesame, so I think that would have been better. But the main thing that threw me off was that it was just a little too sweet. Montreal bagels ARE boiled in honey water first before they are baked, but either they had too much honey in the water, or boiled it too long or something, but the sweetness was just distracting enough. The sesame bagel was served to me sliced and cut in half for some reason (maybe that's a culture thing, but I expected it just whole). The outside was a good texture, but the inside wasn't quite the Montreal bagel texture I was expecting. It was too bready or something. Again, this bagel was too sweet also, just a little. Overall, the bagels are good, but if this is your first time trying a Montreal bagel, it's not really a Montreal bagel. But it is a bagel, and it's decent, just not as good as I hoped it would be.

Loved the bagels. Never had Montreal style bagels before. Used to N.Y. style bagels. I got the sesame seed bagels when it came fresh out of the oven. There is no comparison when you eat fresh out of the oven bagels. Definitely worth the trip. Gotta try the everything bagel next time. The best bagels I've had in korea.
