We couldn’t fault our stay at Ban Por Piang Chiang Dao! We got the bus from Chiang Mai, and as the accommodation is off the highway, the owner Goson advised us to let the bus driver know when we were close to the property and they would drop us off outside, which was extremely helpful as we couldn’t hire a car or scooter as we don’t drive. Goson and his wife (whose name we sadly didn’t get) were extremely attentive and friendly, and helped us to organise a meal for the evening. Goson even went the extra mile and offered to drive us to a few local spots the following day for a good price, even taking us to his property to see an amazing view of the surrounding mountains which were outstanding! This made our stay so worth while especially since we have been relying on public transportation, and we had the best time thanks to him. The property itself is beautiful, with a view of the mountains and surrounding hills. Our tent was perfect for 2 people staying a couple of nights, and the bathrooms were large and clean. The firepit in the middle of the accommodation was perfect for socialising with other guests at night and provided a lovely atmosphere in the evening. We would happily return to Ban Por Piang!! Good for a night after a long day on the bike. Could maybe improve with better pillows. Otherwise food delicious, price standard for 2 people. Service: 5
