3.5 stars. Terrance In Seaside- another Korean fusion restaurant 9/2026. Venue: semi- open dinning area in the shopping mall. Causal setting. Tidy. Tables at side with overhead lamps are too bright. --- 7/10. Service: To be seated. 90 minutes dining time. Each table has sets of cutlery and wet tissues. No chopsticks. Water, plates, and 2 appetizers were given after seated. Told to place orders by scanning QR code. Dishes were served fast. Pay at the front desk. Polite staff. --- 7/10. F&B: Menu in 3 languages (Ch/ Eng/Korean). Korean+fusion style cuisine. Normal presentation and portion. Acceptable prices. Plus 10% service charge.10% off for cash payment. - 2 Appetizers pickled radish, and spicy cucumber cubes - Squid Ink Risotto with Octopus 墨汁八爪魚燉飯, $115: Octopus (into pieces) was tender. Squid ink Rice mixed with some mushrooms and cream cheese was nice. --- 7.3/10 - Ginseng Chicken Soup 人蔘雞湯, $128: There were 4 jujubes, very small portion of glutinous rice, parts of ginseng. Soup was rather salty. --- 6/10. Meal type: Dinner

Banchan and Cook is a delightful spot for Korean-Western fusion food with a beautiful and cozy interior decoration. You should definitely watch out for long queues during peak times, as it operates on a self-service system where you order, pay, and collect your food and drinking water at the counter, but the food is well worth it because everything tastes very good.
