肉も肉だが、この時期のお店から見るの外の風景が一役買う肉屋。肩ロースが一番&とても美味しいです。そして丸肩ロース(バンモクサル)は限定らしいので、あらかじめご注文いただくのがおすすめです！ Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₩30,000–40,000 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

In my humble opinion, Bangmog is one of the best Korean pork BBQ places I have ever been in Seoul. Bangmog came up in my search when I was looking for a bbq restaurant near 혜화문(hye hwa mun gate). Because of Covid, I was particularly looking for a restaurant that has an outdoor table (which is very rare in Korea) and Bangmog looked like has one, so we decided to give it a try, and we loved the restaurant for a few reasons.... 1. The restaurant is open to the street, so it was like eating outside (with a roof). I try to avoid indoor dining so it worked perfect for me. I think they put plastic curtain in the winter but when I went there the weather was really nice so the curtain was open. 2. The pork was just phenomenal, and given the quality of the meat, the price was very reasonable. 3. The owner/cook personally grilled the meat for us so the pork was even more delicious. He also explained his hand made banchans and how to eat them with the pork. Their banchans were definitely Korean style but I could see that he developed his own recipe based on the Korean style banchans that are common in most Korea BBQ restaurant. 4. We could see that the owner/cook really put a lot of efforts in finding the best meat and the recipe, and he seemed very proud of his work. I was told that he opened the restaurant November last year (during the pandemic!) but it looked like the business was going well. 5. It is a small BBQ place (there were only 4-5 tables) where you can actually feel the personal touch of the owner/cook. He looked very young (like in his early 30s) but we could see his passion in the pork BBQ and how much he wants to share his passion with the customers. I wish him all the success. 6. The only downside is that the first minimum order was 600g, which was not a problem at all for us (we were two and 600g was enough), but it could be a bit too much for one person. If you are alone, this place might not be the best choice.
