Baninos kept catching my eye during Koh Phangan’s late-night wanderings, but I never expected it to become one of my best food memories on the island. The vegetarian wrap absolutely stunned me—fresh, beautifully balanced, flavourful, and somehow far more memorable than a simple wrap has any right to be. It felt like a small late-night discovery that turned into a full-fledged craving. A true hidden gem for anyone roaming the island after dark, especially vegetarians looking for something genuinely delicious. Meal type: Other Price per person: ฿200–400

Every dish here is crafted with love and creativity — you’ll be salivating before the first bite. I had their signature Banino’s Eggplant dish — crispy fire-roasted eggplant over rich shakshuka sauce, topped with sunny-side-up eggs, caramelized onion, and garlic, finished with tahini drizzle and spicy green chili. It was mind-blowing — smoky, saucy, and unforgettable. The vibe? Super chill. The bamboo lounge feels like you’re floating on a bamboo boat down a Thai river. It’s walking distance from Zen Beach and near plenty of other great spots like Mamma Cope. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing something quick (yes, they’ve got scooter-friendly 5-minute grab-and-go items), it’s perfect. The owner is young, passionate, and always reinventing the menu — you can feel the energy and creativity in every bite. I planned to stay for a quick meal and ended up hanging out for three hours because I didn’t want to leave. Must-visit in Koh Phangan. Try the eggplant dish first, then come back for everything else.
