Owner was very kind, welcoming, and made sure our stay was comfortable after we had problems with Agoda. She truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and checked in on us everyday. She honestly treated my partner and I like we were her grandchildren, it was very nice after past hotels we've stayed at in the past. The cabin itself was small but cozy, clean and everything was working fine. We stayed during Loy Krathong, so it was a bit loud during the nights and evenings due to celebration - but otherwise our stay was very peaceful. Every morning we also got pandan juice and bread with jam and butter, which was a welcome surprise as well. The location is a bit far away from central Chiang Mai - so unless you have Grab or a car of your own, transportation may be a bit difficult. But, the distant location made it so you weren't super close to the chaos of Chiang Mai during the night. Overall, my partner and I had a lovely experience here. My only possible complaint would be that the fridges are a bit small, but everhthing else was good otherwise. Service: 5

Uncomfortable and manipulative experience — not suitable for solo travelers I stayed here for only a few hours but encountered multiple serious issues that made me decide to leave immediately: 1. Constant traffic noise: This house is located just steps away from a busy road out side the resort. And within the resort, in four hours, I counted cars and motorbikes passing right next to the unit at least 20 times. If you plan to sit on the terrace, be prepared for never-ending traffic noise. 2. Low-flying airplane noise: There is a private airstrip about 15 minutes away, used by low-flying planes — the kind of aircraft noise you’d hear in Nimman but worse because the airplanes linger and the noise last for longer time. It’s definitely not the quiet countryside retreat you might imagine. Potential drum noise: there is a Chinese couple with long term contract lives right next to the house and according to them, they will have 10+ drum online courses a week. They were out during the few hours I stayed so I don’t know the noise situation but you can expect 10+ hours of potential drum noise a week mostly during the weekend. 3. Lack of privacy and safety concerns for solo women: • The male gardener stood directly outside my glass door for an extended period, allegedly “picking fruit.” He left right after I pulled the curtain closed — this behavior felt more like he was watching than working. • A single man lives directly behind the unit, and while I sat on the terrace, he walked past the area at least five times in a short period. Not necessarily wrong — but if you’re hoping for peace or privacy, this is not the place. 4. Judgmental and gendered behavior from the host: The female host commented multiple times on my appearance, saying things like, “You look sexy today” and “You wear different now,” at least 5 times, which made me very uncomfortable. Later, when I asked to borrow a bicycle, she suggested I should “cover up” first. Do not feel like in Thailand, but more like in Iran. 5. Contract manipulation: The host pressured me to pay a deposit before signing the contract and never blocked the listing on Airbnb or Agoda, meaning the deposit was only a way to bind me — not the listing. I insisted on including a clause that allowed me to cancel if the noise was unbearable, with a full refund. The host tried to sneak in a Thai-only phrase that changed “refund of full deposit” into something else. Thanks to translation assistance, I caught it in time and made sure the full-refund clause was properly written. 6. Disingenuous refund practice: When I decided to leave after a few hours, they tried to charge me 1,000 THB, claiming it was for “changing the bed” from two singles to a king — which is irrelevant, as the new configuration doesn’t prevent future guests. They also mentioned cleaning costs, but their own check-out cleaning fee is only 500 THB. I used one towel. Nothing else. To the second day of my deposit payment and few hours after my full rental payment, their listings on all platforms remain openly bookable, proving the deposit meant nothing for them — only for me. So the complaints about not getting what they booked or mistreated on Airbnb were true depending on your luck. If I hadn’t insisted on including the full-refund clause, they would’ve kept my money.
