落ち着いたバーを探していたらこちらのお店が目にとまりました。4〜5人で満席(といっても席はありません)の店内ですが、オシャレで気の利いたマスターがいて、楽しく美味しくお酒をいただけます。ウイスキーがメインのバーです。. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000

It's rare that I leave negative reviews, but this experience was truly disappointing. Rudeness is something I find particularly off-putting, and unfortunately, that's exactly what I encountered at Bar Core in Dotonburi. This bar is undoubtedly one of Osaka’s smallest, with space for only three or four guests. The intimate setting intrigued me as I passed by, so I decided to take a closer look. Upon opening the door, I was greeted—or rather, dismissed—by a bartender and two patrons. I complimented the bar, saying, "Wow, amazing bar!" Instead of a polite response, the bartender curtly informed me, "Reservations only," in a tone that left much to be desired. I clarified that I was merely admiring the space, only to be met with the same dismissive remark, accompanied by disapproving looks from the patrons. If the bartender happens to read this, I’d suggest locking the door if your bar is indeed for reservations only, rather than being unnecessarily discourteous, especially on a street frequented by tourists. Given that it’s a whisky bar, where the drinks are likely comparable to many others in Osaka, I would imagine that the service is what sets it apart. Sadly, in this case, the service was abysmal. This encounter leads me to believe the one-star reviews are accurate—this bartender’s demeanor leaves much to be desired. He seems to reserve his politeness only for those who have a reservation, while the rest of us are left to experience his less-than-welcoming attitude. If you’re looking for a place with good service to enjoy your evening, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
