The hardware is probably 4 stars, nice view etc. The wine and experience, depends. Mine was bad. I went for a predinner glass of wine. I wasn't in the mood to pay hkd400 for a glass of domaine Guffens-Heynen which I'm sure it is lovely. They had a promo hkd100-150 blind wine glass, which I thought would be fun, you guide them what you want (fruit, acidity, oak etc) and they bring you something, sounds cool so we went for that. We were presented with a glass of supermarket pays d'oc chardonnay hkd90 a bottle (I have nothing against supermarket wine, but for emergency) and a sicilian nero d'avola that tasted dead oxidized maybe opened for a week (i could be wrong, but no coravin for wine by the glass is telling). The idea itself is not bad, but you need to offer decent product, and if you cant at 100 150 then pour less or move price up. Also, since you are following customer guidance and chosing for them, allow them to taste first, so you can get it right. Net net, we took a sip, nobody came to ask if we like, stood up, left them the full glass, paid, said thank you, and left. If you go for a bottle of something you know and like, and you just want the chair and the view, then probably less room for disappointment. Price per person: $100–150

Absolute 5 stars Jack is a consummate sommelier with a deep passion for wine. He patiently and enthusiastically answered my questions about wine. I want to make it clear that there was absolutely no pressure - just a genuine love to share. I had the blind tasting. And it is a must try experience. I was only able to guess one correctly (Zinfandel ), and the other two were completely new to me. And the best part? After each guess, Jack explained to me the tasting notes and history, to my heart’s content. And again, I want to stress that it wasn’t preachy/snobby, just pure sharing This is definitely the best wine bar I’ve had. Ambiance: cozy, low key lighting, comfortably spacious. This is perfect for an introvert. Note on getting inside: it’s in the M88 building, take the elevator to the 18th floor. The building itself closes early, but there is a security guard where if you mention you’re going to Bar cyclone, he’ll pass you to the elevator. Once you arrive at the bar, ring the doorbell or message on WhatsApp. Price per person: $450–500 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
