Solo night out on a Monday and the place is still vibing. Not too crowded or loud or too lonely, perfect for an introvert who just wants a nice dinner and drink in good atmosphere. The food is good in quality and the serving portion is fair for the price you’re paying but what made it spectacular for me is the service. Dream & Bonus came to my table with a shot of juice, on the house, and we cheers to each other at the table. This definitely lifted up my spirit and I really appreciated their effort in making me feel included and not out of place since I came here by myself. Certainly would recommend for anyone who wants a nice dinner & drinks with a good Bangkok skyline view. Price per person: ฿1,200–1,400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Stayed at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok and ended up getting two experiences for the price of one: a proper luxury hotel downstairs and a rooftop personality upgrade upstairs at Bar.Yard on the 40th floor. The hotel itself feels polished, calm, and genuinely high end without becoming stiff. The room was excellent, the bed was dangerously comfortable, and the whole place had that rare five star quality where everything runs smoothly enough that you stop noticing logistics and start noticing how relaxed you are. Staff were professional, warm, and efficient, and the atmosphere inside the hotel felt quiet and refined, which is not always easy to find in Bangkok. Then there is Bar.Yard. Very good rooftop setting, stylish without being too formal, and with the kind of city view that can quietly convince you that ordering one more drink is a responsible decision. The vibe was lively but still easy to enjoy, and it worked well as an extension of the hotel rather than feeling like some random rooftop attached to it for decoration. It actually added something to the stay. What I liked most is that the two parts balanced each other well. Downstairs, everything says rest, comfort, and luxury. Upstairs, everything says yes, now put on a nicer shirt and pretend you are more important than usual. That contrast worked perfectly. So the final result was this: I booked a hotel stay, slept like royalty, went up to the 40th floor for drinks, looked at the skyline, and briefly developed the confidence of a man who definitely owns at least one company. By checkout, sadly, I was back to being myself. Very strong choice if you want a stylish Bangkok stay with real comfort, good service, and a rooftop bar that makes the whole experience feel more complete.
