Incredible tasty quality Indian Food created by a lovely family. A must try if you love meat curries, biryani and favored roti. Our family loved the butter chicken, chicken biryani and garlic roti. The Indian veggie dishes were good but not as strong as the meat curry game. Afghan curry was a hit too if you want to try something different but recommend it with a bit of spice. Highly recommended. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I arrived and three woman and their children were dining. One stood up and came calmly with a notebook and asked our order. As our conversation struggled in English, one of the other came and registered our preferences. They started moving towards the kitchen, preparing slowly our meal. The matriarch (I believe) kept eating, sometimes looking at us. After some minutes, she then left to the kitchen. We have disrupted the space. A fragrant and rich smell started coming in our direction: chicken curry, basmati rice, naam and one other rice with eggs that I didn’t catch the name. All this plates were high end products and inspiring meals. Flavors and contrasts were really balanced. But this review is about something else. Is the passion and the willing to do something that warms up a foreigner. Those women left their chairs and dinners to connect with us trough food. They serve much more than food; a sense of respect, compassion, humanity. I’m truly heartful for having a chance of seeing this intense work, these day-to-day jobs, the smile of children and mothers. This story is also about humility. Why did I ordered so much, as I left a little bit of rice and fruit that the matriarch came to offer? If you are reading this, noble woman, may you know that I was absolutely full, regretting for having ordered too much food - even if you told me that conservative quantitative were good enough. I think this is one of the best halal food experiences I’ve had in Thailand since November 6th. We had a little difficulty finding the halal restaurant because there was no visible signboard for ‘Basmati Restaurant.’ However, we noticed the owners are a Muslim family, and I learned from the girl there that her father is Bangladeshi. We hadn’t had any Bangladeshi food since November 6th, so we were eagerly looking for something with a Bangla food taste. We discovered this place through someone else’s review. Once we arrived, we ordered three dishes and four portions of rice for the two of us. It might sound like a lot, but honestly, we Bangladeshis tend to eat more rice compared to people in Thailand! While I was looking forward to eating Bangla Thai mix food, we ended up trying some Thai dishes. We ordered a vegetable soup-like dish, one with chicken, and another with beef. Unfortunately, I forgot their names, but I’ve uploaded the menu for anyone who’s interested. You can also see pictures of the dishes we enjoyed. Alhamdulillah, we were so happy with the food. The portions were generous, and we probably could have managed with two dishes and three portions of rice, but we had more than enough, Alhamdulillah. The restaurant is clean, quiet, and modestly set up with tin walls and no extra decorations—but honestly, that didn’t matter. The food was absolutely delicious, and it was more affordable compared to other places. We paid only 390 Baht for both of us, which is amazing! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for Bangladeshi restaurants or authentic halal food in Thailand. I came here from Ao Nang Viva Resort, and I’m so glad I did. Love from Bangladesh.
