Terrible Service & No Responsibility Ordered Mild, Got Extra Spicy Instead I came to this restaurant on 1 July 2026 at around 6:50 PM because I really love mala hot pot. I was dining with my friend, and ny friend can’t eat very spicy food. That’s why I ordered the mild spicy mala soup and clearly wrote “mild spicy” in the order comments. After we ordered, we waited for a while. Then a female staff member came to our table and asked us to choose the soup base. I told her that I had already selected it when I placed the order. A few minutes later, the soup arrived. As soon as I saw it, I knew it wasn’t mild at all. It looked very spicy, and you could easily tell just by looking at it. I called the staff over and told her that I had ordered the mild spicy version. Instead of checking the order or apologizing, she insisted that this was what I had ordered. She also told me that if I wanted to change it to the mild version, I had to pay an extra HKD 48.!! This was very disappointing. It was clearly a staff mistake, but no one took responsibility or even said sorry. Because of this, my friend couldn’t really eat the food, but we still had to pay the full price. After we had been eating for a short time, the bill was brought to our table and we were asked to pay first. That’s fine—I understand that’s the restaurant’s policy. But later, the same female staff member came back, grabbed the handles of our hot pot, and was about to take it away before asking if we had finished eating. She should have asked first before touching our food. Of course, I told her not to take it because we were still eating. We still had 30 minutes left, but the system had already stopped letting us order more food. You can check your restaurant’s CCTV footage to verify everything that happened. I hope my feedback will be taken seriously and lead to improvements, especially regarding the female staff member who served us. Thank you.
