This is a lovely little restaurant which plays good Mexican songs and has a friendly atmosphere. Isabel was our waitress, and being from Mexican it meant we could speak in Spanish which is always a bonus. The food was very tasty. The barbacoa was not 100% Mexican barbacoa but the beef was melt in your mouth soft and had a good flavour. The mushroom tostada was delicious and the pulled pork tacos had a strong zesty taste to them. The chimichurri sauce was also very refreshing. This is a great little restaurant with delicious food Mexican fusion that works. And the margarita slipped down a treat too! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₩30,000–40,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: I tried the Guacamole and the mushroom tostada.

Growing up just 45 minutes from the Mexican border, eating good Mexican food was never a problem. That’s why living in Korea has been a mixed experience when it comes to Mexican cuisine. I’ve had some of the worst Mexican food here, but also some surprisingly solid spots over the years in Seoul. Today, I'd like to introduce one of the good ones. Benditos doesn't pretend to be 100% authentic Mexican, they describe themselves as fusion Mexican and this is completely fine with me because the food is good! This might turn off some purists, but honestly, as long as the food is well made, does it really matter if the food is good and done right? This restaurant is another project from the Manimal group, including one of the original founders, 김대영 (DY). If you’ve been to places like Manimal Smokehouse, Motor City, or Hunnit Deli, then you already know their standards. I’ve been to Benditos 3 times and have tried a wide range of dishes. Let’s start with the basics. A good tortilla is essential for a good taco, and the tortillas here are unique and unlike anything I've had before. I've tried a few different tacos here, but the brisket tacos are the clear winner in my opinion. TI’ve tried several tacos, but for me, the brisket tacos are the clear winner. The brisket and pulled pork are smoked at Manimal and brought here every day. Another highlight was the 'Mexican Porchetta with chicharron.' One bite into this gave me a dopamine rush, no lie. As for drinks, they offer a solid selection of mezcal and tequila, including a tequila sampler. The tequila menu is broken down into blanco, reposado, añejo, and extra añejo. They also serve cocktails. My favorite so far is the 'Texas Jungle Juice (for two).' The only real letdown is the lack of Mexican beers. Besides Corona, the only other beer available is Stella Artois on tap. I usually say if the food is good, that’s what matters most, but even I have to admit, drinking Stella with tacos feels a little wrong. My only other gripe is some of the chips that come with the guacamole are vegan chips and I'm not a fan, personally. At first it was okay, but the more I had the more I started to hate them.
