The kueh dadah I got today around 7pm tasted bad (spoilt), egg tart didn't have much custard (a thin layer) and the tart was quite mediocre. I have fond memories of bengawan solo and would get the pandan chiffon cake for overseas friends, but this was a disappointing experience.

Went in at 8pm but was told shop is closed but states 9pm on google.

I have been a regular customer of Bengawan for many years, but I have just bought my very last kueh from them. Shrinkflation is at its worst here, except that not only have the portion sizes shrunk, prices have been increased even more. Their kueh has now shrunk to around 5cm in length with all other dimensions also reduced to maintain relative proportions. And no, it doesn't help either when the shop assistant chooses to serve the smallest pieces first to improve the chances of selling the remaining (ever so slightly) larger sized kuehs. What a shame...
