クオリティーの高いインドネシア料理。サテも絶品、チリソースも3種類ぐらいつけてくれる。ただそれだけにお値段もちょっと高め。氷水もチャージされていたのにはちょっと驚いた。美味しいけど、個人的には毎日ランチに気軽に食べられるお値段ではないなー。. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20

Had a lovely Mother’s Day dinner at Ben’s Kitchen, and it checked every box for us. Mum wanted great suckling pig, a cozy spot, and easy parking — and this place delivered. Service was warm, food came fast, and every dish had that comforting Indonesian Chinese flavour. We enjoyed the Mixed Pork Rice platter, Special Pork Noodles, sweet‑salty Pork Satay, Tahu Goreng Saus Sate, crunchy Fried Pork Rind, and the fragrant stir‑fried vegetables. The highlights were definitely the Babi Guling and the Roasted Duck — crispy skin, tender meat, full of flavour. A solid spot for family meals with honest, hearty cooking. Serves quite a diverse Indonesian menu, but feels a little confusing. They seem reasonably good at a few things, but nothing really stands out as particularly strong or authentic Indonesian. The babi guling, unfortunately, was a far cry from what you’d actually get in Bali. While we can clearly see plenty of spices used beneath the meat, the aroma and flavour were muted. The pork itself was rather dry, including the skin. It was also quite odd seeing babi guling paired with sliced carrots, lettuce, corn, and papadam, which made the dish feel even less cohesive and lack authenticity. At close to $50, the portion also felt very small, especially considering the flavour didn’t quite deliver. The bakmi, which I had some time back, was actually pretty enjoyable. The curly noodles were cooked to the right doneness—springy with a nice bite—and the toppings were generous, with charsiew, roasted pork, and minced pork. Personally, I never like bak choy on Indonesian-style noodles. It feels less authentic because most Indonesian bakmi use chye sim. Service deserves special mention. On my recent visit to tabao the babi guling during a rainy afternoon, the staff went out of their way to offer an umbrella, a really thoughtful gesture.
