I booked a holiday on the spur of the moment and ended up at this hotel—I haven't regretted it for a second. The room was lovely and clean. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide enough selection for a 3-star hotel. I tipped the staff as generously as possible because they certainly deserve it. I gave one lady a special, personal tip; I sincerely hope she gets to keep it for herself. The hotel is situated on a hillside, so it isn't suitable for people with limited mobility. As far as I know, there is no elevator. One area for improvement: there isn't a light switch right by the entrance to the room. You have to turn on a light near the bed or the TV unit using a small switch while it's semi-dark (Room 3517). It can get a bit noisy at times due to those 'boom-boom' tuk-tuks :) Oh, one more thing: why are the prices so ridiculously high during peak season?! :)

A really pleasant stay in Karon. I appreciated having a comfortable and relaxed base while exploring Phuket, with easy access to everything the area has to offer. Very positive experience and good memories from my time here.

Best Western Phuket Ocean Resort - Cost-effective Ocean View Resort Best Western Phuket Ocean Resort is a 3 star resort located in the Karon Beach area south of Phuket, with a total of 240 rooms. As the resort is built on a hillside, the deluxe rooms except the supereier room have an ocean view. Best Western Phuket Ocean Resort is a long-established resort, so there are differences in room entrances and balconies compared to recently built hotels. Nevertheless, it is popular with travelers because of its low hotel rates and good views. Best Western Phuket Ocean Resort is located at the entrance to the Karon Beach area from Patong Beach, 100 meters from the hotel entrance, 7 Eleven, 500 meters from Karon Beach, 300 meters from the commercial area, and 500 meters from the Karon central commercial area.
