This place is a gold mine of classic Thai music and Thai funk music collection. If you are a music enthusiastic and looking for a non touristy place. This is where you should come. Note : Call the number before arriving ! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If you are digging for Thai records in Bangkok, a visit to Big Tiger Records is well worth the effort. The shop is run by the owner, Chon Big Tiger, and the experience felt far more personal than a typical record store visit. He actually opened the shop specifically so I could come by and dig, which already set the tone. As soon as I arrived he handed me a cold Beerlao and we got straight into the records. What makes Big Tiger special is the depth of the selection. If you are looking for Thai music beyond the obvious reissues, this is the kind of place where you can find it. Chon was incredibly helpful once he realized I was looking for the rarer side of molam and luk thung and started pulling records from different parts of the shop. I ended up finding a stack of great records, including some rare 45s from Sroeng Santi that I had been hoping to come across. The whole experience felt less like shopping and more like visiting a serious collector who is happy to share his knowledge and records with people who care about the music. If you are interested in Thai vinyl and are willing to dig a bit deeper, this is absolutely one of the places in Bangkok worth seeking out. I would happily go back the next time I am in the city.
