Dinner dated 4 Feb 2026. Ordered a curry katsu rice at $6. This store offered inexpensive food. I like the thick curry gravy which was not sweet for my preference. The chicken cutlet was served piping hot and served with japanese pearl rice. Miso soup was something that I usually won't finished. Because tasted instant and unappetising. The miso soup here was different, smooth to and comforting to the palate and I finished everything. Service was top notch. When I asked for chill powder, lady boss said, "I would continue to sprinkle until you said stop." This was the same for my previous visit. A pity didn't get to try the ramen when this store was located few units away previously. I would like to see some other options available for the curry dish, other than fried stuff and oyakodon dish. Quite sure the chef here is competent enough to make a delicious bowl of oyakodon dish. Lastly, you might need to wait awhile for your food, as it's only cook after you order, not pre cooked. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

UPDATE Dec 2025!! Billion Bowls 亿碗 is still in Hong Lim Food Ctr! If you're ever standing in front of their old stall unit & wondering what's happening, wonder no more! Just turn around, look 3 stalls away and >ta-da!! It's standard still remains top notch, and still helmed by the hardworking couple who strive to serve good value for money quality jap food! (Remarks - photos updated. Pardon my photo skills coz I'm no pro!) *** ...My previous review:. Found another gem in a hawker centre, facing table num 99 at level 2! Helmed by a hardworking couple, I used to patronise them frequently when it was @macpherson, affordable yummy jap food that's good value for money!! ...definitely NOT foodcourt standard type! I had the ramen & fried ebi, flavour & quality still as good, if not better!! I wish them another billion bowls sale in shortest time!!
