Used to be my favorite place to go in BKK because of the crowd and music. Now Blanc is sold to a new owner and changed name to SOT. Sadly the cool crowd and R&B Hip Hop vibes are gone. DJ was frankly bad, song transitions are bad with no intention. Songs are old school in a bad way eg Oppa Gangnam style. The drink coasters misspelled their bar name wrong. The new crowd looks dodgy too. Left after one drink. ~THB 500++ per drink. Drinks are quite good. Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

I’ve been to Blanc BKK several times and it had quickly become one of our favorite spots in Thonglor. The chill vibes and great selection of old-school R&B and hip-hop made it a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the night. However, our experience on Friday the 9th completely changed our opinion. We were enjoying our evening when a tall female bartender approached our group and gave us gin shots. First of all—who even drinks gin shots? None of us wanted it, and we politely declined. One of my friends was already holding a Margarita, and when she said a firm “no,” the bartender still tried to pressure her into taking it. What happened next shocked us: she poured the gin shot directly into my friend’s Margarita. Who does that? Not only was it incredibly disrespectful, but it also ruined a drink that isn’t exactly cheap. My friends and I were so taken aback that we immediately told another bartender, a male staff member, who was kind enough to apologize and remake the drink. But the worst part is—the bartender who caused the issue never once apologized or acknowledged what she did. Her behavior was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Later that night, near closing time, the music suddenly stopped when the DJ left. One of my friends casually asked if it was possible to turn the music back on, and that same bartender responded in a shockingly rude tone, saying, “Oh, you know, no one dares touch it. You guys can’t touch it—the setup cost 12 million.” Her attitude was unnecessary and condescending. After months of being regular customers, often coming once a week, we’ve decided not to return. It’s a real shame, because we genuinely enjoyed the place. But when staff behave this way, especially someone representing the bar behind the counter, it ruins the entire experience. Unless this bartender drastically changes her attitude and learns basic manners and professionalism, we won’t be coming back—and we certainly won’t be recommending it to anyone else.
