ブッダバーパリ本店を無許可で丸パクリした非常に悪質な店です。 Paris's "Buddha-Bar" is a globally renowned brand. When an establishment in Japan adopts a nearly identical name and concept, it highly likely violates Article 2, Paragraph 1, Items 1 and 2 of the Unfair Competition Prevention Act. These provisions prohibit the "creation of confusion with well-known indications" and the "unauthorized use of famous indications." By operating without any affiliation to the original, such an establishment is engaging in "free-riding"—unjustly exploiting the brand equity and world-renowned prestige built by the rightful owner. This dishonest business model not only deceives consumers but also tarnishes the long-standing credibility of the original brand. Furthermore, if the logos, interior design, or signature musical arrangements are replicated, it raises serious suspicions of copyright infringement. This practice of profiting under someone else's banner, devoid of any respect for originality, is a malicious form of cultural appropriation. In an era where global intellectual property protection is paramount, the existence of such "imitation venues" poses a grave challenge to commercial ethics in Japan. It is imperative that consumers scrutinize the authenticity of such claims, and it must be strongly emphasized that fraudulent operations masquerading as the original brand should face both rigorous legal consequences and social condemnation.
