We went to Botanic gardens for walk, decided to check out the peranakan restaurant nearby at Bumbu. There r 10 of us. Ordered Garlic fried fish-9/10, fragrant n nice. Crisp on the outside n soft inside w fragrant of garlic, v well balance n not greasy. Kang kong-8/10 Chap chai-6/10 Assam prawn-7/10 Soft shell crab-6/10 Kai lan-9/10 Ayam buah keluak-1/10, taste r jux not right. Over powered buah keluak taste, could hv alittle more sour n spicy. Lemon grass drink-0/10, way too bitter. Nvr tasted such horrible lemon grass drink before. Taste so bad, even aft adding sugar syrup still taste bitter Prawn roll-8/10 Overall rating Service 6/10 Atmosphere 8/10 Food 6/10, but did not enjoy the experience as we were eating cold food. Fan too strong food get cold super fast so 5/10 for food instead. But considering the pricing, overall 6/10 for food. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–40

Came here for our advance reunion dinner and it certainly did not disappoint! This little gem hidden away at farrer road was an awesome restaurant that serves halal Indo Thai dishes. The store decorations, service and food were amazing. Decent pricing for the amount of portions received. As we didn't make an advance reservation for Lou hei (A must have Traditional CNY Dish). The boss and his staff went an extra mile to make us one. Though it's different, it makes a huge difference to the entire meal. Thank you to all of you at Bumbu restaurant for the amazing experience! We will definitely be back when I return. Plenty of parking space located below the restaurant. Highly recommended. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Recommended dishes: Beef Rendang, Sambal Kang Kong
